SWAP AN AGING SYSTEMFOR GEOTHERMAL
Swap your oil, propane or gas furnace and your AC for geothermal. Most of your existing ductwork stays.
What it actually involves
LESS OF THE HOUSE GETS TOUCHEDTHAN PEOPLE EXPECT
- A day-one answer if your lot can't host a loop field
- Every incentive calculated in a fixed-price proposal
- G-REC paperwork filed for you
Most homeowners picture a geothermal retrofit as the yard torn open for a month. That's a horizontal loop, and it isn't how these systems are usually built here.
Drilling is typically one to two days on site. The indoor work is about the same as replacing a furnace and air conditioner, except the new system connects to a buried loop instead of a gas line and an outdoor unit.
WHAT YOU KEEPAND WHAT LEAVES
What stays
Your ductwork, usually
In most houses the existing duct system stays. Where it needs work, we say so before you sign, not after.
Your yard
Vertical boreholes take a fraction of the surface a horizontal field would. Trenches are backfilled and reseeded.
Your hot water, for less
Your system can heat your hot water with spare heat it would otherwise put back into the ground.
What leaves
Combustion
No flame, no flue, no oil or propane deliveries, no annual burner inspection.
The outdoor unit
Nothing beside the patio, the pool or the bedroom window, and nothing rusting through a winter.
Fuel price exposure
Your heating no longer depends on oil, propane or gas prices.
THE WORST TIME TO DECIDEIS THE WEEK YOUR FURNACE DIES
Book a site visitGeothermal is a designed project, not a same-day swap. It needs a load calculation, a loop design and a drilling date, and none of that fits into the 48 hours you have when the heat goes out in January. If your system is getting old but still running, now is the time to talk.
